Types of StarCast Portals StarCast offers three unique training portals. Each portal is structured for the particular individual or group that it serves.
Internal
Training 		for Either Individual
New Hire Training Portal New hires log into a New Hire Portal that is specifically designed to meet their needs on their first day. The layout is simple, prescribed, and mandatory. Once a new hire completes the content on the New Hire Portal, he or she then “graduates” to the Personal Training Portal where ongoing training can begin.
Sales People
Personal Training Portal Seasoned Reps and Employees log into a Personal Training Portal that contains a mix of mandatory assignments with specified due dates, library items they can study at their own pace, and webcast listings that enable them to join live online meetings. Every Sales Rep or Employee has his or her own Personal Training Portal which contains items specific to their job or responsibilities that you have “pushed” to them.

Physician Portal Physicians log into a Physician Portal and are greeted by a learning center that allows them to search out training content for a particular product they purchased or information regarding a topic or technology that your organization may specialize in.

Course
You (or a designated StarCast administrator) build and “push” the content that users access on their customized portals. “Push” is StarCast terminology for sending out courses, tests, surveys, documents, and movies to individuals or groups via StarCast portals. When specified content is pushed to portals, it is made available to the logged-in user through a summarized listing. Content can be pushed to a single individual or an entire group.
StarCast portals ensure that the RIGHT people get the RIGHT information. Just as important, each portal is a “logged-in space,” so everything an individual does within the environment is tracked and documented.
